Average age for female directors in Singapore is around 5 years younger than male directors

The average age for female directors is 54.7 while the average age for male directors is 59.2.

According to Korn/Ferry's study on Gender Diversity in the Asia Pacific, female directors are younger than male directors across all countries.

Business is the most common area of education for both female and male directors, with around one-third of both type of directors with such a specialisation.

Female directors are more likely than male directors to have law or accounting educational background. In Singapore, more female directors have an accounting background and more male directors have a business background.

Moreover, in Singapore, female directors are less likely to have public sector experience.
