Berkeley rolls out courses to shape the leader of the future
Individuals are taught how to build trust, break walls and mobilise teams.
Berkeley Executive Coaching Institute (BECI) Faculty of Berkeley University HAAS Business School held a two-day workshop in Singapore where executives and coaches gained access to experiential and interactive exercises on leadership development, business communication and executive coaching sessions from some of the world’s leading coaches.
Having delivered coaching programmes to big-ticket companies like Facebook, Adobe, McKinsey and Pixar, BECI introduces leadership practices and team behaviours to build trust, lead during transformation, create stronger team culture and increase the overall business effectiveness of the team. Leaders can acquire and hone the necessary coaching skills to connect and empower their team straight from consultants and coaches that have occupied leadership positions at Fortune 500 companies and leading business schools such as University of California Berkeley, University of Michigan – Ross School of Business, Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management, Berlin School of Creative Leadership and Nanyang Business School.
The workshop is split into two full days with the first half stressing the importance of leadership and impactful communication through authentic leadership presence, active communication skills and storytelling and presentation skills. The second day aims to teach leaders design thinking, the best practices of high performing teams, active listening and coaching skills. The workshop also includes elements of design thinking to provide a high-energy, rapid-fire experience of the entire design thinking cycle through the experience of a “design challenge."
The workshop was conducted by The Berkeley HAAS Faculty and Dr Mark Rittenberg, Head of Leadership Communications Faculty for the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley. BECI has delivered training programmes to executives from California, Middle East and Asia.
