Glassdoor launches its recruitment services in Singapore and Hong Kong
The platform offers job seekers access to job listings alongside employee reviews and insights.
Job and recruitment platform Glassdoor has entered in Singapore, Hong Kong and New Zealand in its efforts to widen its reach in pairing job seekers with companies best suited for them, an announcement revealed.
The platform offers job seekers access to job listings via its localised site and mobile app wherein people can customise their job searches based on job title, location, distance, industry and company size. The listings are also paired with reviews and insights shared by the respective companies’ employees.

Glassdoor offers free access to its data via a give-to-get model in which data can be accessed once an individual contributes their own content such as a company review or salary report. The model helps reduce the likelihood of extremely positive or negative reviews whilst encouraging more balanced company ratings on the the platform, the firm stated. According to its announcement, the average company rating on Glassdoor stands at 3.4 on a five-point scale.
The platform is reported to welcome 62 million visitors monthly across 18 localised sites around the world.
“We believe that by pairing together the latest jobs with useful insights into a company’s work environment, pay practices and other important facets of employment, we can make the job search and recruiting process better,” Glassdoor International’s VP and managing director John Lamphiere said in a statement. “Glassdoor has always appealed to a wide global audience and with increased focus on Singapore, Hong Kong and New Zealand, we are looking to make the experience for people and businesses in these locations even more valuable.”

According to a separate report by Glassdoor, such services are critical in filling the 53,090 vacancies in Singapore. It noted how 85% of job seekers and employees in Singapore reported they would find reading employee reviews helpful when deciding there to work, based on a survey by Harris Poll on behalf of Glassdoor.
“When job seekers are more informed about a job and company, we know it leads to a better match with the employer,” Lamphiere added.
