Lam Yi Young takes over as new SBF CEO
The current CEO, Mr Ho Meng Kit, is set to retire next year.
Ex-deputy secretary in the Ministry of Trade and Industry Lam Yi Young will take over as the chief executive officer of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) on 1 January 2021 as the current CEO, Ho Meng Kit, retires.
“I am grateful for all the good work that my predecessors, especially Mr Ho Meng Kit, have done in building SBF to where it is today. As Singapore continues to work towards an economic recovery post COVID-19, there is much that SBF will need to continue doing to help our companies emerge stronger. We will keep our members at the forefront of our mission and champion for their needs both locally and internationally,” Lam said.
Ho will continue to help SBF as a senior advisor. Ho has been the CEO of SBF since 2011.
Aside from being a deputy secretary in MTI, Lam acted as deputy secretary for policy in the Ministry of Education and as chief executive of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.
