3 out of 5 Singaporeans willing to ditch current pay over performance bonuses
More Singaporeans let their work speak for itself.
According to a poll by Hays, more and more Singaporeans are opting for more thorough performance-based bonuses, even if it means giving up a bite off of their monthly salary.
Out of 530 Singaporeans polled, 46% said they were even willing to endure as much as a 20% salary cut for a bonus based on their performance. 17% said they were willing to take an even bigger cut.
However, not all Singaporeans may be in favor of forgoing a fraction of their monthly salary in exchange for proving they are worth their salt.
“The final 37 per cent prefer not to roll the dice and would not cut their base salary in order to potentially earn more through a bonus based on performance,” the report from Hays said.
