
6 in 10 Singapore employees plan to ditch jobs in next 12 months
Here are their top three woes.
According to the 2013/14 Randstad World of Work Report, 64 percent of Singaporean employees plan on leaving their job in the next 12 months.
It said that employees in Singapore are some of the unhappiest in Asia Pacific with 23 percent feeling unmotivated in their jobs and that their skills that are not being used effectively. The top 3 reasons that cause job dissatisfaction are 1) job dissatisfaction 2) a difficult boss 3) being asked to do more (for less)
The report also revealed that the top three reasons that cause job dissatisfaction include misalignment with the company culture, having a difficult boss (18 percent respectively) and being asked to do more in their role with less (13 percent).
At the other end of the scale, Indian workers are the happiest employees, with seven in ten satisfied at work, saying they feel challenged, motivated and are mentored to learn new skills.
