Bye, boss: Over 3 out of 10 senior managers all set to go job-hopping this year
Another 54% are also mulling other opportunities.
Local employees may soon have to bid their bosses goodbye. A survey released today by the MRIC Group and Ipsos revealed that 33% of senior managers in Singapore are ‘definitely’ going to go job-hopping this year, up 4% from just 29% last year.
This is higher than the 26% recorded in Hong Kong, 21% reported in China and 20% in Taiwan.
Over half or 54% of Singaporean managers will decide depending on opportunities, while 13% say that they will not look for another job.
“The job hopping trend in Singapore contrasts with Hong Kong and China, where moreprofessionals intend to stay with their employer compared to 2014. Interestingly, intentions to relocate are stable, which implies a challenging local job market in the coming months” comments JB Aloy, Senior Vice President with Ipsos.
