Civil servants awarded with 0.35-month mid-year bonus

They will receive an additional one-time payment of up to $400.

The government has awarded civil servants with a mid-year Annual Variable Component (AVC) equivalent of of 0.35 month's salary as gratitude for their hard work in helping Singapore in its fight against COVID and towards its economic recovery.

In an announcement, the Public Service Division said civil servants in grades equivalent to MX13(I) and MX14 will receive an additional one-time payment of $200, whilst will receive an additional one-time payment of $200.

Meanwhile, civil servants in junior grades equivalent to MX15 and MX16, and those in OSS Grades III to V will receive a higher one-time payment of $400.

“This mid-year payment takes into consideration that Singapore’s GDP growth in 2022 is likely to come in at the lower half of the forecast range of 3.0% to 5.0%. The Government deeply appreciates the hard work and contribution of all public officers,” the PSD said.
