Deliveroo holds two-day mental wellness workshop for riders
Close to 50 riders attended the workshop.
Deliveroo held a two-day mental wellness workshop to help its riders stay “mentally resilient during the pandemic.”
Close to 50 riders attended the Rider Stress Management workshops from 21 to 22 October, which was organised in partnership with a mental health advocacy organisation, Silver Ribbon.
The workshops were also done in honour of the World Mental Health Day last 10 October.
It covered topics such as how to identify stress and burnout, skills needed to manage stress and challenging situations, and avenues for seeking help.
Porsche Poh, executive director of Silver Ribbon, said the organisation was very “heartened” to partner with Deliveroo and urged other firms to “come forward to initiate similar initiatives.”
Deliveroo Singapore’s General Manager, Sarah Tan, for her part, said the company will “continue to explore opportunities” to turn the mental wellness workshops into a “long-term initiative” for their over 9,000 rider fleet.
