
Executives plan to increase productivity in the Philippines: survey
They plan to do the same in Singapore.
Corporate Executive Board released Executive Guidance for 2013 – an annual survey of global business leaders which looks at how companies are innovating for corporate growth in a low-growth environment.
The survey revealed that executives around the globe are asking for a 20% jump in performance in 2013 and Asian executives are asking for a 29% jump on average from their employees.
Key Highlights
· The majority of executives surveyed believe revenues will increase in the coming year (59%), but they anticipate continued pressure to lower costs (67%).
· Profitable growth will continue to put pressure on employees to be more efficient—only 32% of executives plan to increase head count despite optimism around revenue.
· On average, global executives believe they will need a 20% improvement in performance over and above current levels in order to meet their business objectives.
