Facebook tops social media platforms for job seekers

Six in 10 job switchers use the platform.

Career switchers now look beyond job portals, increasingly using social media platforms like Facebook to find new roles.

Randstad data reveals that Facebook is the leading social media channel for job switchers, with six in ten using it for job searches.

Telegram and Instagram follow closely, with 57% and 56% of job seekers using the platform, respectively.

Randstad underscored that although social media helps reach job seekers, employers must advertise on secure channels like company websites or job search platforms to avoid scams.

JobStreet is the most popular job search site in Singapore, used by seven in ten job seekers.

Indeed.com (49%) and jobs.com (43%) follow closely in job search popularity.

Usage of recruit.net is also increasing, rising from 14% to 34%.
