Large vs small brands: Where do job seekers want to go?
According to Randstad, expectations of job seekers have changed significantly as customers.
Junior-level candidates in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and the retail sector are likely to apply to multinational companies, according to Randstad.
This is because junior talents believe “ multinational companies often provide a wealth of resources and training opportunities that help them to develop their skills and gain valuable experience.”
“At the same time, larger brands are often perceived as being more stable and secure, particularly during times of economic or political uncertainty,” Randstad said.
Senior and experienced candidates, on the other hand, are looking for job opportunities in smaller and local brands
“Many senior professionals are drawn to smaller or local brands due to their entrepreneurial spirit and innovative culture,” Randstad said.
“These organisations are often better suited to cater to niche markets or offer specialised products and services, which provides an opportunity for seasoned professionals to apply their extensive knowledge and expertise,” Randstad added.
Ultimately, however, Randstad said job seekers will choose which company to go to depending on their individual career goals.
