Manufacturing sector's hiring intentions edge up by 7%

But it's the least optimistic outlook since 3Q09.

According to MoM, job seekers are likely to benefit from some workforce gains in 3Q 2013, according to employers who report a Net Employment Outlook of +7%, although the Outlook is the least optimistic since 3Q 2009.

The report also said that when compared with the previous quarter, the Outlook declines by 3 percentage points, and is 13 percentage points weaker year-over-year.

"Based on unadjusted survey data, employers report cautiously optimistic hiring intentions for the upcoming quarter. Hiring prospects are relatively stable quarter over-quarter but decline considerably when compared with 3Q 2012," MoM said.
