MOE prepares students for safe AI use
Students and the education workforce to learn about proper AI use and its risks.
The Ministry of Education (MOE) is training students and the education workforce for the safe use of AI following plans to integrate the technology into schools and Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs).
MOE develops students’ foundational knowledge of AI and promotes its safe and responsible use in schools.
Educators are also provided with guidance, resources, and training to integrate AI to enhance learning.
Students are trained to understand AI, its uses and limitations, and ethical considerations. They are also allowed to further their learning through school-based programmes such as CCAs and Applied Learning Programmes (ALPs).
Schools and IHLs also have measures against the risks of AI. Schools teach their students cyber wellness skills including evaluating information, identifying fake news, understanding data security and privacy, and responsible online behaviours.

In addition, workforce outside schools and IHLs can take up AI-related SkillsFuture courses to become smart and secure users of AI in their respective industries.
