
Money trumps family for senior Singaporean professionals
A high income is the top measure of success.
A survey released by LinkedIn showed that six out of ten or 60% of Singaporean professionals consider having a high income as the top yardstick for success, a figure that is considerably higher than the regional average of 51%.
The family, which was cited by 56% of Singapore professionals, came in as a close second. The third metric for success was having a nice house, which was cited by 39% of professionals.
Although having a family was cited as a top measure, 40% of the senior professionals in Singapore surveyed said that leaving work to start a family is difficult.
