More than six in 10 HR leaders worried about the ethical use of AI
The study also showed that a huge majority of HR leaders are using AI.
Over 65% of human resources leaders revealed that they are concerned about the ethical use of AI in their industry, an Employment Hero study showed.
When it comes to the top concerns around using AI in HR, employee privacy (37%) was the most cited, followed by the lack of trust and transparency (26%), and the lack of AI governance principles.
Respondents also seemed cautious about further experimental development of AI in the HR space, with 73% of HR leaders agreeing that ambitious AI developments should be paused.
Despite this, 98% of them are already using AI in their HR systems and 83% of them agree that AI can save them time and facilitate their job.
The report also showed that 77% of Singaporean HR leaders are excited about the transformative potential of AI in redefining the role of human resources, with top benefits including improved employee self-service (35%), improved employee performance and
productivity (32%), increased speed and efficiency and enhanced HR analytics (both at
27%).
AI advancements are also expected to continue streamlining processes, with HR leaders already using AI to identify and report on employee data trends (47%), create HR content (40%), automate tasks with AI models (36%) and monitor compliance (36%).
