
Nearly 2 in 5 employees believe their salaries are not in line with the market
Nearly 4 in 5 willing to relocate to other cities.
According to Ambition's Market Trends & Salary Report 2H 2013 Singapore, 44.4% of employees think their salary levels are not in linewith the market (22.4% are unsure).
In contrast, 51.1% ofemployers believe that their company remuneration levels are in line with the market while 16.7% are unsure.
44.9% of employers who felt their company’s remuneration levels are in line with market standards are from Director level and above.
70.6% of those employees who felt otherwise were from junior
53% feel that they could earn more in another city (up from 49% from the previous survey).
An overwhelming 75.8% are willing to relocate to further their careers, which places further emphasis on global opportunities available and policies (both company and government) to attract and retain these talents within the organisation.
75.5% of employees who will relocate to further their careers have also indicated that they are likely to do so in the next 6 months - constituting a substantial brain drain to the local workforce.
72.2% of senior management staff have also responded that they are willing to relocate to further their careers as 51.9% of them feel that they would earn more in another city.
