Over two-thirds of S’poreans embrace tech and AI-driven change in the workplace
Technology and AI integration are driving factors for workplace change.
Around 69% of Singapore’s workforce said they feel prepared for the changes their workplace will experience over the next five years, mainly driven by technology and artificial intelligence integration, according to Indeed’s latest global report.
The report revealed that almost half (48%) of workers perceive that technology adoption has a positive effect on productivity.
In terms of confidence, 6 out of 10 respondents feel fairly confident working alongside automation and technology solutions in their current role.

Meanwhile, tasks including data analysis, routine tasks, attention to detail, and unbiased decision-making were said to be performed better by AI compared to people.
The report also mentioned that nearly half (49%) of Singaporeans have upskilled in the past three years to develop longer-term skills, with 43% upskilling in response to business needs.
IT & telecom industries are the sectors in which workers have undertaken upskilling the most.
