Yap's departure follows a governance procedural lapse found in a routine review.
After a decade of service, Robert Yap will step down as president and council member of the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF).
Yap’s departure comes after the council received information on a "governance procedural lapse during a routine internal review.”
“The Council promptly engaged an external consultant to conduct a thorough review of our internal processes,” the SNEF said.
“At this point, the Council is not aware of any financial implications arising from this lapse,” the SNEF added.
