Singapore and Indonesia have inked a deal that will deepen the linkage between the two countries’ tech ecosystems.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the Singapore-Indonesia Tech:X Programme, young tech professionals from Singapore will be given a chance to work in Indonesia and vice versa.
“We hope that through the Tech:X Programme, young tech talent from both countries can learn from each other, gain exposure, and grow the capabilities of both countries’ tech workforces”, said Minister Gan.
Apart from the digital economy, Singapore and Indonesia also deepened their collaboration on renewable energy with the signing of the MoU on Renewable Energy Cooperation.
According to the Ministry of Trade Industry (MTI), Indonesia is Singapore’s 6th largest trading partner, with bilateral trade amounting to $76.4b in 2022.
