Singapore has the most shortest-serving CEOs in the world: report

The city-state ranked 118th out of 122 countries.

Singaporean CEOs had a median tenure of only 3.1 years, among the five shortest terms worldwide, according to a report by BusinessFinancing.co.uk.

The city-state tied for the third country with where CEOs stay in their roles the shortest alongside Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan. CEOs in Azerbaijan and Denmark were the shortest serving at 2.8 and 2.9 years, respectively.

Singapore ranked 118th overall out of the 122 countries sampled.

Meanwhile, the top five countries with the longest tenure for CEOs were: Lebanon (8.5 years); Turkmenistan (7.9 years); Greece (7.7 years); China (6.8 years); and Italy (6.7 years).

The report was based on a sample of 100,000 CEOs active on LinkedIn across 122 countries worldwide.
