Singapore’s workforce trusts AI to drive business more than global average: survey
Gen Z and millennials most likely to use AI tools.
Singaporean workers had the highest usage rate of generative AI across the globe alongside Hong Kong at 60%, according to a survey by UiPath.
The survey showed 58% believe gen AI tools have the necessary context from business data to drive value and improve operations.
Two-thirds of workers in the city-state generally trusted AI outputs, more than the global average of 48%.
Gen AI tools improved the productivity of workers by assisting them with work tasks, which were mainly: drafting communications (44%), summarizing long-form content (34%), and brainstorming (34%).
Despite strong adoption, 42% said their companies have not provided training or set guidelines for gen AI use, showing a lack of direction in company policy.
Major concerns about gen AI were shared by workers to be: security risks (38%); inaccurate outputs (34%); and compliance risks (31%).
The survey consisted of 1,133 full-time Singaporean workers.
