However, only 23.1% say their companies were supportive of AI changes.
Six in 10 (62.4%) employers are preparing for an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven future through data analysis and AI courses, according to a report by Reeracoen and Rakuten Insight Global.
This aligns with government initiatives including a $1b investment plan under the Smart Nation 2.0 initiative to enhance the nation's AI capabilities and adoption.
However, only 23.1% said their companies were supportive of AI changes, indicating a critical need for enhanced corporate strategies to foster employee readiness.
Moreover, 53.5% of employees in Singapore fear being replaced by artificial intelligence (AI) with Gen Z showing the highest levels of anxiety.
"Our findings show that while AI adoption is accelerating, companies must take proactive steps to support their employees' upskilling,” Kenji Naito, group CEO of Reeracoen Group, said.
