Under the joint initiative, SP students will benefit from the following opportunities:
- Enrollment in Free 5G Training: SP students can enroll in two beginner-level 5G courses, namely "5G Primer and Fundamentals of Cellular Communication and 5G," where they will gain insights into 5G technology, its functionalities, use cases, and more.
- Introductory-Level Certificate in 5G: Upon completion of the two free beginner-level courses, students can opt to undertake Qualcomm Academy's 5G introductory-level certification exam. Successful candidates will receive a 5G Certificate from Qualcomm Technologies, showcasing their understanding of 5G fundamentals.
- Associate-Level Certificate in 5G: Building upon the introductory-level certification, SP students can pursue an associate-level certification in 5G. This certification, tailored for polytechnic and university students, equips them with advanced technical skills, preparing them for roles as associate-level wireless engineers in the industry.
The two beginner-level 5G courses are part of Qualcomm Academy's 5G University programme, which has already reached over 11,000 students worldwide since its launch in 2021.
