S'pore workers ready to return to previous employers for career growth
Employees looking to return to past employers also aim for higher salaries.
In Singapore, 75% of professionals are open to returning to their previous employers, according to the Salary Survey Guide by Robert Wlaters.
To improve career progression and remuneration, 1 in 2 or 46% of employers consider returning to previous employers.
The survey revealed that career progression is the most common reason why employees return to previous employers. Of those surveyed, 79% are seeking new roles in the next 12 months.

Meanwhile, 43% will consider a counteroffer even after agreeing to a new job. Of those who accept counteroffers, 52% plan to remain with the company for at least 2-3 years.
Furthermore, while 45% of employees have noticed their companies adopting AI to replace routine jobs, 61% remain either unconcerned or uncertain about its influence on their roles.
