Tug of war: Students from small schools transferring to new international schools
Are the oldies feeling threatened?
Two new entrants, GEMS World Academy and Dulwich College, still have 900 and 500 available seats, respectively, but admission in these schools is filling up fast.
A report from Maybank reveals that GEMS and Dulwich are drawing students from smaller schools, but they are not threatening the larger and more established schools such as Overseas Education Ltd (OEL).
Popular international schools such as United World College of Southeast Asia, Tanglin Trust, Australian International School, Canadian International School and Stamford American are either full or have limited seats left.
Smaller international schools such as Hwa Chong International School, Eton House International School & Preschool, and Swiss School, among others, are still very available for admission.
