What are the most in-demand life sciences careers in Singapore?
The salary range of one of the most in-demand roles is $7,000 - $10,000 per month.
Commercial roles, especially in business development and project management, will be the most in-demand careers in the life science sector in Singapore, Randstad reported.
In its 2024 Job Market Outlook & Salary Guide Reports, Randstad said roles related to regulatory affairs, quality assurance, and scientific research will also be in demand this year.
In Singapore, a regional regulatory affairs manager and a regional quality manager can earn between $7,000-$10,000 per month.
Randstad, however, pointed out that there has been a decline in hiring for regional roles in Singapore "as the shift to remote work makes it easier to hire talent more affordably elsewhere."
"Regional positions aren’t going away, but employers are increasingly questioning whether it’s essential to have them all based in the same location," Randstad explained.
Meanwhile, the report also found that despite optimism in hiring activities in the life sciences sector, salary increments are expected to remain similar to 2023.
Randstad estimates that the salary increments will decline slightly in 2024 from 10% to 12%.
"However, more employers are offering flexible work arrangements as talent places greater value on non-monetary factors when looking for new employers," Randstad commented.
