AsiaPhos officially debuts on SGX Catalist
With "5WV" stock code.
In a release, Singapore Exchange (SGX) confirmed the listing of AsiaPhos Limited on Catalist under the stock code “5WV”.
AsiaPhos is a mineral resources company focused on exploring and mining phosphate. It also manufactures phosphate-based chemicals which are used to produce consumer products such as batteries, detergents and fertilisers.
Headquartered in Singapore, the company owns the rights to explore and mine phosphate in Sichuan province, China.
Dr Ong Hian Eng, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of AsiaPhos Limited, said: “We are delighted to be the first mineral resources company solely focused on phosphate to be listed on the SGX, and also to be one of the 10 largest companies listed on Catalist in terms of market capitalisation. With a market capitalisation of S$200 million, the listing of AsiaPhos brings the total number of mineral, oil and gas companies listed on SGX to 18 with a combined market capitalisation of S$7 billion.
