Sunpower Group clinches $6.67m manufacturing and services contract
It will design and construct long-distance distribution steam pipelines and a smart energy station for State Power Investment Corporation.
Environmental protection solutions firm Sunpower Group has secured a $6.67m (RMB33.9m) manufacturing and services (M&S) contract from new customer, State Power Investment Corporation’s (SPIC) Jilin Electric Power Co., an announcement revealed.
Under the contract, Sunpower will provide a comprehensive range of services that includes the design as well as engineering, procurement and construction of low-energy, long-distance distribution steam pipelines and a smart energy station, to be located outside SPIC's Baicheng Power Plant to SPIC’s integrated energy project that will supply industrial and municipal heating, compressed air and hot water.
The delivery is expected to be completed by end-2019.
To date, Sunpower has seven operational green investment (GI) projects, five projects under construction and at the design phase, and a robust pipeline of projects being evaluated for investment or acquisition.
“We aim to invest $490m (RMB2.5b) in equity to build a sizeable and valuable portfolio of GI projects that ramp up long-term, high quality recurring income and cash flows for the group,” Guo Hongxin, executive chairman of Sunpower, highlighted.
