The Monetary Authority of Singapore reported:

The manufacturing sector expanded by 19.8% q-o-q saar in Q1, on the back of a rebound in the electronics and precision engineering clusters.

Gains in electronics were primarily driven by the data storage and computer peripherals segments, which registered a surge in output as the disruptions to supply chains stemming from the Thai floods eased.

Activity in the precision engineering cluster also rose, on stronger demand for machinery and equipment.
