IHRP, SPETA secure partnership to boost human capital in the manufacturing sector
The manufacturing employer handbook was developed to identify strengths and opportunities.
The Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP) has partnered with the Singapore Precision Engineering & Technology Association (SPETA) to enhance human capital processes in manufacturing firms in Singapore.
This collaboration was formalised by signing a Memorandum of Understanding at the Industrial Transformation Asia-Pacific (ITAP) 2023 event on 19 October 19, with Minister of State for Trade and Industry, Alvin Tan, as the Guest-of-Honor.
Under this collaboration, IHRP and SPETA will cooperate to create learning circles aimed at promoting the adoption of the manufacturing employer handbook.

This handbook includes the utilisation of the IHRP Human Capital Diagnostic Tool (HCDT) to assist manufacturing companies in assessing their Human Capital processes, identifying strengths and opportunities, and devising actionable strategies.
Manufacturing roles rank as the fourth most in-demand among employers in Singapore, according to a 2022 ManpowerGroup survey.
The pilot run of the IHRP-SPETA Learning Circles in August 2023 received a positive response and enthusiastic participation from SPETA member companies.
