Jardine C&C names John Witt as new chairman
Witt will replace Benjamin Keswick, who was chairman for over 12 years.
Jardine Cycle & Carriage (JC&C) announced that Benjamin Keswick will retire as chairman after more than 12 years, with John Witt set to succeed him.
Keswick will step down as non-executive director of JC&C and resign from the Nominating Committee and Remuneration Committee.
However, he will continue as executive chairman of Jardine Matheson Holdings.
Keswick joined the JC&C Board in 2007 as group managing director and executive director.
Witt has been the group managing director of Jardine Matheson Holdings since 2020, overseeing DFI Retail, Hongkong Land, and Mandarin Oriental.
He has been with the Jardine Matheson Group since 1993, joining the Jardine Matheson Holdings board in 2016 and serving as Group Finance Director until 2020. Previously, he held senior roles, including CFO of Hongkong Land and Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.
Witt was also a commissioner of Astra International, a 50.1 %-owned subsidiary of JC&C, since 2016.
