Jebsen & Jessen acquires GMA Garnet
It strengthens Jebsen & Jessen's global market position and supports GMA's growth plans.
Diversified industrial conglomerate Jebsen & Jessen Group has announced the acquisition of integrated garnet miner and distributor GMA Garnet Group (GMA).
The move, aligning with its 'Advance & Build' strategy, follows the group's recent acquisitions of a majority stake in Safetech, MHE-Demag's Industrial Products Business (now MHE), and Electro-Mechanical Services in Australia.
GMA, with over 40 years in the industry, manages the entire garnet supply chain, from sourcing and processing to international distribution and recycling, offering high-quality garnet blasting, waterjet products, and specialty minerals to industries such as abrasive blasting, waterjet cutting, and protective coating.
Under the Jebsen & Jessen Group umbrella, GMA will benefit from increased investment, resources, and support for its expansion plans. This will include capital investments to enhance mining and processing capacities.
“This strategic move opens exciting doors for the Group as we grow beyond our traditional ASEAN base and into new territories of deeper technical expertise and value-added offerings,” said Heinrich Jessen, chairman of Jebsen & Jessen Group.
“The acquisition is a strong testament to the work we’ve done over four decades and supports our vision for expansion and innovation,” added Grant Cox, CEO of GMA Garnet Group, saying it will also strengthen their operations and support their growth vision.
Upon regulatory approval, GMA will integrate into Jebsen & Jessen Group with no changes to its brand or leadership.
