Excluding the biomedical manufacturing segment, output would’ve increased by 3.4% YoY.
Singapore’s manufacturing output rose by 1.8% YoY and 10.1% MoM, EDB Singapore revealed.
Excluding biomedical manufacturing, which recorded a 17.4% YoY contraction, manufacturing output in July would have increased by 3.4% YoY and 4.1% MoM.
Only biomedical manufacturing reported a contraction in output.
The output of Transport Engineering, General Manufacturing, Electronics, Chemicals, and Precision Engineering all improved in July, expanding by 13.3% YoY, 7.3% YoY, 2.8% YoY, 1.7% YoY, and 0.7% YoY, respectively.
