Pan-United launches electric concrete mixer truck
It features a robust 350 kWh battery, delivering up to 360 kW at peak power.
Singapore-listed Pan-United Corporation Ltd has launched the an electric-powered concrete mixer truck.
This initiative is a crucial step towards Pan-United’s goal of becoming a carbon-neutral ready-mix concrete company by 2050. The electric mixer truck reduces the carbon footprint of concrete transportation by 45% compared to traditional fuel-powered trucks and significantly lowers noise pollution in urban areas.
“Pan-United has actively been exploring ways to reduce our embodied and operational carbon emissions. This includes the use of alternative fuels and electric gensets in our operations to lower our carbon footprint,” said Ken Loh, CEO of Pan-United.
“We will continue to actively explore new and innovative solutions and products to decarbonise and accelerate the global climate transition,” he added.
The electric mixer truck, delivered by Chinese multinational heavy machinery manufacturer SANY, features a robust 350 kWh battery, delivering up to 360 kW at peak power. It takes two hours to achieve a full charge, a significant improvement compared to a typical Category A passenger EV with a 78 kWh battery, which requires about 30 minutes for a full charge.
