Precision engineering online portal launched to boost collaboration between MNCs, SMEs
It's like LinkedIn for local manufacturing businesses.
Innovations and partnerships are the way forward for local manufacturing firms, and the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) has launched a new online portal to encourage collaboration between businesses.
THe A*STAR Collaborative Commerce Marketplace (ACCM) allows multinational corporations (MNCs) to network with small and medium enterprises (SMEs). It will help MNCs easily source for prospective suppliers in Singapore, and will also allow companes to connect with research institutes or universities that can help them bridge technology gaps.
The ACCM was one of four new initiatives announced at the Precision Engineering Centre of Innovation (PE COI) Annual Conference 2016.
The other initiatives include a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between SIMTech and SPETA, a joint R&D collaboration between SIMTech and Applied Materials, Inc., and an MOU between SIMTech and five SMEs under a new additive manufacturing Collaborative Industry Project (CIP) initiative
