According to the report released by the government, the output of the electronics cluster was 26.5% lower in September 2011 compared to the same period last year.
The Economic Development Board said:
All segments within the cluster contracted amidst the weakening global demand for electronics, with the semiconductors segment posting the largest decline (of -29.9%). For the first nine months of 2011, electronics output declined by 6.9%, compared to the same period a year ago. |
