Singapore and India join hands on semiconductor ecosystem development

The partners will conduct policy exchanges.

Singapore and India have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate in expanding their semiconductor industries.

The MoU on the India-Singapore Semiconductor Ecosystem Partnership allows the two countries to leverage each other's strengths to enhance supply chain resilience through policy exchanges focused on ecosystem development, supply chains, and workforce growth.

As part of the MoU, the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) will set up a Policy Dialogue to guide discussions, ensure the implementation of collaborative efforts, and facilitate the exchange of best practices.

Meanwhile, Enterprise Singapore and the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) will also establish a parallel Cooperation Forum to promote private-sector partnerships between the two countries.
