Biosensors International Group names Jean-Luc Butel as director
He is currently the president of international of Baxter Healthcare Asia.
Biosensors International Group announced the appointment of Jean-Luc Butel as independent non-executive director.
Mr Butel, 58, is the president of international of Baxter Healthcare Asia. He joined Baxter International in February 2012 as corporate vice president and president of international and responsible for leading all the international operations for Baxter. He also served as executive sponsor of Baxter's Asian Leadership Network business resource group for employees. He also served as the executive sponsor of Baxter's Global Inclusion Council, according to a Biosensors International Group report.
Prior to joining Baxter, he held various leadership positions with Medtronic, most recently as executive vice president and group president of international operations. He served on the board of the Medtronic foundation and was the executive sponsor for the Global Leaders Program, a program tailored to the development of Medtronic's top talent. Prior to joining Medtronic in 2003, he served as president of Independence Technology, a Johnson & Johnson company dedicated to providing advanced mobility technology for people with mobility related disability.
Mr. Butel serves as a member of the Singapore Economic Development Board and was recognized by that organization in 2014 with the Friends of Singapore Public Service Medal. He also serves on the board of International Partnership for Innovative Healthcare Delivery, a non-profit organization that looks at innovative healthcare delivery needs.
