Far East Group promotes Francis Lai Kum Wai to CFO

He was the group financial controller since 2011.

Far East Group announced the appointment of Francis Lai Kum Wai as chief financial officer.

Mr Lai, 39, will be in charge of financial and accounting matters including the review of monthly reports, analysis of accounts, budget, cash flow, credit control, group consolidation, audit, taxation and compliance with the financial reporting requirements of the group; personnel and administrative matters; oversight of the corporate secretarial function of the group; performance of financial reviews and assessment, due diligence and financial advice on potential investment projects; provision of informative business financial information to the boardand coordinating business financial planning for the group; exploration of investment opportunities and funding opportunities; and oversight of the internal controls and risk management functions of the group.

In the past, he was group financial controller of Far East Group from 2011 until his appointment. Before this, he was finance and business development manager of Ellipsiz Singapore from 2006 to 2011 and business development executive of Ellipsiz from 2000 to 2006.
