Kinergy's Director Ng Cher Yan retires

Mr Ng was also Chairman of Audit Committee and Remuneration Committee and a member of Nominating Committee.

The Board of Kinergy announced the retirement of Mr Ng Cher Yan as Director. He was due for retirement by rotation at the Annual General Meeting of the Company in accordance with Article 107 of the Company’s Articles of Association and he did not seek re-election at the Meeting.

This is to facilitate the Company’s Board of Directors rejuvenation and renewal as a matter of good corporate governance practices. Mr Ng Cher Yan has served as Independent Director of the Company for 5.5 years since October 2006, according to a Kinergy report.

Mr Ng, 53, was appointed to the post 20 October 2006.
