Metech International appoints Simon Eng as chairman
He will chair a new Executive Committee consisting of top managers of the group.
Metech International announced the appointment of Simon Eng as executive director.
Mr Eng, 55, will focus on steering the group's strategic directions and developing new businesses to supplement the group's current business in electronics waste recycling, according to a Metech International report.
After leaving the civil service in 2004 and up until 2007, Mr Eng was the president of United Engineers in China. In 2008, he set up a wastes and wastewater treatment company to invest in treatment facilities in China and was acting as an adviser to Tembusu Partners, private fund management company. In 2009, he joined Advance SCT as group CEO and is currently the controlling shareholder and chairman of the group.
