Straits Trading Company names Thai Kum Foon as Chief Financial Officer

She will take over the post of Mr Eldon Wan, who resigned due to personal interest.

The Board of Straits Trading Company announced the appointment of Thai Kum Foon as Chief Financial Officer effective 2 January 2013.

Ms Thai, 47, will oversee the financial and accounting functions of the Company, including treasury, tax, insurance, risk management and capital management, according to a Straits Trading Company report.

Previously she was Chief Financial Officer for Jaya Holdings Limited from April 2009 to December 2012. Prior to this, she was Finance Director: IM Flash Singapore LLP from July 2007 to February 2009 and Head, Group Finance and Corporate Services of CapitaLand Retail Limited from August 2006 to June 2007.
