Takeda Pharmaceutical Company promotes Christophe Weber to CEO

He still holds the positions of representative director and president.

Takeda Pharmaceutical Company announced the appointment of Christophe Weber as CEO effective 1 April 2015.

Mr Weber, 48, will be responsible for total management of Takeda Group, mainly focusing on mid-to-long-term corporate strategies, important matters regarding global management, and external activities.

He is currently representative director and president (since 2014) and COO (since April 2014) at Takeda Pharmaceutical Company. Before this, he was CEO at GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals and president and general manager at GlaxoSmithKline Vaccines from April 2012 to April 2014, according to a Takeda Pharmaceutical Company report.
