UPP Holdings names Tong Kooi Ong as Chief Executive Officer

Mr Tong is expected to lead company in achieving its long-term business objectives and strategic growth.

The Board of UPP Holdings announced the appointment of Tong Kooi Ong as   Mr. Tong Kooi Ong has demonstrated his outstanding capabilities and competence in his previous appointments. It is the Board’s unanimous decision to appoint Mr. Tong as CEO in achieving the Company’s long-term business objectives and strategic growth. 

Mr. Tong, 52, will be responsible for directing the Company's overall strategy and growth, acording to a UPP Holdings report.

Mr. Tong is also a Board member of M+S Pte Ltd and UEM Land Holdings Berhad (Malaysia) since 2011. He is also Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee of Taiga Building Products Limited (Canada) since 2004. Prior to this he was  Executive Chairman of Sunrise Berhad (Malaysia) from 2003 to 2011.
