4 in 10 SHEIN users prefer buying from sustainable brands
The ultra-fast fashion business has long faced criticism over its environmental impact.
Almost half of customers of the ultra-fast fashion business SHEIN prefer buying from sustainable brands, data from YouGov showed.
“SHEIN’s ultra-fast fashion business, which churns out thousands of new designs every day, has faced criticism over its environmental impact. But how concerned are SHEIN customers about sustainability when they shop?” YouGov asked.
Compared to SHEIN’s customers in the Philippines (76%) and USA (60%), Singaporean SHEIN users (47%) are the least likely to prefer buying from sustainable brands.
Compared to the general population (57%), SHEIN users in Singapore are also less likely to buy from sustainable brands.
