Workforce SG to entrust 12 career centres to NTUC’s employment institute
This will expand NTUC’s career services provision to support workforce development in Singapore.
Workforce Singapore (WSG) will hand over 12 career centres to The National Trades Union Congress (NTUC)’s Employment and Employability Institute (e2i) starting 1 April to support local workers and job seekers.
These will include 2 career centres at the Our Tampines Hub (OTH), Woodlands Civic Centre (WCC), and 10 Jobs and Skills Centres (JSCs).
NTUC’s e21 will expand its provision of personalised career coaching, skills upgrading advisory, and job matching services through these extensions.
WSG will also provide individuals with career advisory services through its Careers Connect On-The-Go (CCOTG).
NTUC will focus on helping PMETs, youths, mature workers, vulnerable workers, and back-to-work women to find employment opportunities through some of its resources including the Career Assessment Tool, Job Search Essentials workshops, PMET kits, and Resume Builder.
In 2023, workforce initiatives such as the Polaris programme and CareersFinder by WSG’s MyCareersFuture were introduced.
WSG will work closely with its partners, including NTUC’s e2i, to enhance the workforce in line with Singapore’s economic transformation.
